About Achieving Excellence Together

A Different Kind of LTC Pharmacy

We are passionate about Long Term Care. This is all we do.

Community Pharmacy was started in 2007 when two forward thinking pharmacists found a need in their community for a long-term-care pharmacy dedicated to doing what was right, taking care of both the residents and the facility. Since then, we have worked very hard at satisfying that need in our community by focusing on patient safety and customer service.

We have become forerunners in the use of technology in our industry by adding safety and efficiency values for our customers. We are committed to using technology and human resources to lead the pharmacy industry in efficiency, accuracy, and customer safety. We utilize the best-in-class pharmacy software, an industry-leading paperless management system , a state-of-the-art delivery system, prescription-filling robotics, and the #1 rated eMAR on the market. We have the capability to interface with any software product. We continue to find and add technology solutions while forging innovation in an effort to provide the safest and most efficient services for our customers.

Independently Owned

Being independently owned allows us to quickly adapt to our customers needs in the ever-evolving healthcare industry. We promote proactive, forward thinking in an effort to develop new industry leading ideas. Our owners are hands on with the day-to-day activities, helping lead the development of new ideas while maintaining the high expectations of patient safety and customer service.

Perfection is Expected, but Excellence is Tolerated.

Our leadership team is comprised of ultra-competitive individuals who take a lot of pride in being the best; being second best is not an option at Community Pharmacy. We feel our customers are entitled to having the best pharmacy service possible and we will do whatever it takes to ensure these high standards.

The Community Pharmacy Difference

Each customer gets a dedicated team of people to meet and exceed their needs. We devote a specific consultant pharmacist, a nurse consultant, and a customer service manager from our billing department to provide personalized service to your facility. If your facility utilizes our eMAR, we will also provide you with an eMAR specialist.

Unique pharmacy workflow

We have developed an internal workflow focused on minimizing interruptions for our order processing staff, thus decreasing the chances for errors. Our pharmacy workflow is composed of 6 different departments working together to provide the highest patient safety and customer service in our industry.

  1. Triage: Our triage department is composed of both pharmacists and nurses. This is our communication hub of the pharmacy. When you call in, you will be talking to one of your facility's designated Community Pharmacy triage staff.
  2. Order Entry: Our talented staff ensure your orders are entered promptly and accurately. Prescriptions are also billed at this time to verify the mediation is covered by insurance.
  3. Pharmacist Verification 1: Our skilled pharmacists review the order entry to make sure everything is accurate. They are also ensuring the clinical pieces of appropriateness, interactions, and allergies.
  4. Packaging: The medications are placed in their appropriate packaging and labeled during this step. Bar coding during this process makes certain the right medication is being filled for the right prescription label.
  5. Pharmacist Verification 2: The prescription is verified by another pharmacist at this step. Again, bar coding is utilized to verify the accuracy of the packaged medication.
  6. Delivery: Bar coding is also used during this step, guaranteeing the right medication is going to the right facility for the right person.
